Trauma robs us of presence, processing it bring a sense of wonder, awareness, expression, and heart centered safety back to your journey.
Birth Healing Circle
This intimate container is for those who have experienced a distressing birth, a challenging birth or birth trauma and desire to reprocess the experience so it no longer holds such big impact.
Birth trauma is subjective, and the data highlights many women aren’t even aware they have experienced birth trauma. Truly, it’s anything that was distressing, an accumulation of situations, or lack of emotional or physical safety anytime throughout the perinatal journey.
Simply, it’s anything you were unable to process during the sacred time of preconception to experiences directly after birth. The way you were made to feel, how your were supported (or lack thereof,) unexpected outcomes, medical issues, grief/loss, racism, ageism, an unsuccessful IVF cycle and beyond.
If you think back to your birthing experience and notice anything distressing emotions or bodily sensations, then this group is for you.
Birth trauma interrupts bonding and impacts breastfeeding, it might show up as being triggered emotionally, flashbacks are common, grief, reoccurring dreams, anxiety or depression, hopelessness, a lost sense of identity, it impacts your relationships with self, partners and beyond. The good news, you don’t have to continue to carry your birth trauma.
Join Rhea Eady, MSW, mother, mystic, healer and ceremonial leader for a 4 week Birth Healing Circle. The circle is informed by EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic approaches to healing and integration.
